Guardian Angels

Today I think about guardian angels and the peace I have felt over the last 9 months as Isaac has traveled internationaly on his Rotary Exchange. He has returned back to Germany after 10 days in Italy and for most of those 10 days I did not have contact with him. As a mother of a traveling 17 year old son I felt nothing but peace knowing that my son was safe and protected by angels.

I am thankful for guardian angels who protect and for children who are in tune enough to be inspired.

WHEN I WAS YOUNG

Crissy the Beautiful Doll was on my Christmas list.  There was a button in the middle of her back and when you pushed it her hair would grow.  Then I combed and styled it.  When I wanted a change I would push the button again and her hair would go short.  This entertained me.  I am sad that I didn't save her.

?CAN I BE HERE?

I am currently fascinated by Asian Culture. I want to visit Japan...especially now...it's Cherry Blossom season.

60 DAYS AND COUNTING

In the exhaustion of yesterday I was trying to remember the last time I lounged.

I can't...remember that is.

The first of February brought a snowstorm and a necessary move at work.

The first of March brought...well let's just say...we had to move.

Can you say...

::pack::haul::sort::throw away::donate to charity::consign::clean::dust::scrub::

Then do it all over again.

When this is all over I'm headed for some much needed spa treatment.

After all it is my favorite dessert.

TAKE A BREAK

Spring Break starts today. There's nothing I need more than a break from trying to fit a routine into the chaos of moving. This morning I left everyone home sleeping and showed up at the FOX studio 30 minutes early. Everything feels calm for a moment.

FLYIN' HIGH

There's something incredibly smooth about a helicopter in flight, the giant piece of aerodynamics gently slices the air. Looking below you realize you are captain of daylight, observing all that goes on. You see all but no one sees you.

Do you think God sees things that way?

There is complete safety and security in the hands of the pilot flying the machine and you think, "everything is okay as long as it stays just like this".

The flight always ends too soon...

FANTASY ISLAND

That's what keeps me going...I am physically here but mentally there. My life is a whirlwind of activity and emotion. Moving at work, moving at home...it's almost too much to handle. Someday I will live in a small cottage somewhere near a beach. I will work in a small cafe and bake cookies for the locals. My entire wardrobe will consist of shorts, tank tops and slippers. I'll ride a scooter to work and watch the sun set into the ocean every night.
